The local tribe rangatira and ancestral descendent of Te Kawerau a Maki the tribe who hold manawhenua and authority of west Auckland, Daz is a direct bloodline descendant of tawhiakiterangi the founding chief of tekawerau A Maki. Daz has returned home to the west to reconnect to his culture and share his knowledge with the community.
