Most forms of yoga are dynamic, active practices designed to work the muscular half of our bodies, the ‘yang’ tissues.
Yin Yoga allows us to work the other half, the ‘yin’ tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks and even our bones through deep gentle stretching.
Yin Yoga is simple, but not necessarily easy. It is challenging due to the long duration of the poses.
However, there are considerable mental, emotional and energetic benefits from this practice.
